Garrett was a pure-bred parti standard poodle who lives with us in Tucson. We adopted him on December 16, 2007 from Arizona Poodle Rescue. He had spent his first two years at a puppy mill in Oklahoma and his previous one year with a breeder in the Phoenix area. According to information from his last home, which we suspect is not be accurate, Garrett's birthday is March 8, 2004. Garrett passed away on November 10, 2018 after a long struggle with nerve degeneraton. A tribute to Garrett writen by his friend Aaron is shown at the bottom of this page. The first two photos of Garrett were taken within a few months of his coming to live with us.

A Tribute to Garrett written by Aaron Stein - November 2018 Dear Nanny and Poppy, I am so sad to hear about Garrett's passing; he was such an amazing dog, and I loved him so much. I remember when we came to visit after you got him. I love that picture of me and him on the rug. And I loved going with you and him to the dog park and the baseball fields and watching him play with Jasper and Sheba. I love that you created ButtBook; it is so cool. When we met new people at the dog park you would add them and their dog. Garrett was such a special dog, he made people so happy. I always was exited to see him when we came and I will be soo sad not to get to see him when we visit you. When I felt sad, I would sit with him; I miss having a dog at home to sit with when I am sad. He was such a happy dog and loved you so much. You took such amazing care of him (I if I were a dog I would definitely want you to be my owner). I am sure he had an amazing life. Everyone we met knew and loved Garret and he will be missed so much. I hope you are doing okay and I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and I love you so much. Love Aaron
